WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT
Your visit to Hope Haven is 100% confidential.
Client information is held in strict and absolute confidence.
We offer a safe environment. Our volunteers are thoroughly screened with background checks and references.
A full copy of our privacy practices disclosure is available upon request.
At your first visit, you'll fill out a short intake form and meet with your advocate/counselor.
Following visits include a private, one-on-one class with your advocate where you can privately discuss questions and concerns.
Your visit may include an ultrasound or pregnancy test depending on your circumstances and preferences. Your Advocate will help you navigate the services we offer.
At Hope Haven, you will be met by professional staff who respect you and your body. We will not judge you, pressure you, or treat you with anything but our best – every time.
Clients are served without regard to age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability, or other circumstances.
Clients are treated with kindness, compassion, and in a caring manner.
All of our staff, board members, and volunteers receive appropriate training to uphold these standards.
At Hope Haven, you will receive accurate, honest counsel and information regarding abortion, pregnancy, parenting, adoption and more. We want you to feel empowered to make informed decisions about your pregnancy options.
Clients always receive accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, lifestyle issues and related concerns.
We do not offer or refer for abortions or abortifacients, but are committed to offering accurate information about abortion procedures and risks so you can make an informed decision.
You don't need to decide today.
Your first appointment is a chance to talk. We'll listen to your situation, answer your questions, and help you understand your pregnancy and your options. If you're considering abortion, you can talk openly about that. You don't have to make a decision during your appointment, and there is no pressure to commit to anything. Depending on your circumstances, you may also be eligible for a limited ultrasound and other free services.
